breakfast was ok at the atahotel in bologna. croissants had jam filling. different juices, pastry items, fruit, water, coffee and tea. left hotel at 8:30 am in the morning drove to san marino, up the hill, got there at 10:30. had 1.5 hours to explore and take pictures, then go back to restaurant near entrance gate to have lunch. lunch was a tad disappointing. pasta was spaghetti with seafood sauce, a lot of it. what followed was salad with 2 skewers, one with squid - ok, but the other was shrimp past it’s prime, too soft. dessert was fruit cup from. no drinks included. think we left at approx 1:30 pm. from here it was another two and a half hours to parma. we stopped at a mcdonalds about at around 3:15 pm for a pee break. then it was another 1.5 hours to proscuttio tasting. got there around 5 pm. left at 6 pm and got to eurodice restaurant in the middle of nowhere at around 6:30 pm. beautiful night sky as we entered the restaurant, also very nice …lots of brick and modern. however dinner was slow. pasta was stuffed, think it was tortellini. main course was a well done veal with salad and for dessert, brownie cake . water provided. finished dinner at 8:30 pm and we got to starhotel du parc in parma at 9 pm. checked in and got room 418. large room, and large bath with double sink. two twin beds, laqured wood furniture. room used old fashioned key, not digital card. walls were thinner though, could here neighbours and anna beneath our room.
